Binary Calculator

How was your evening? Mine was fine. I spent it making this while I really should be reading a book for school that I haven't even started and the first day of school is monday but oh well here's the thing I made:

It's a basic binary calculator that can add any two binary numbers from 0 to 255

Here's how it works:

Each cell checks a place, from the 1's place to the 128's place. After it figures out what to do, it goes to the next cell to determine the value of that place and so on. Here's how it works:

The process for adding in binary with pen and paper is the same as the way you probably learned in elementary school, where you carry the 1 to the next place, and that's how this machine works.

If respective places in both inputs are 0, the machine will send you to option A or D.
Else, you will check to see if 1 or both of the places' values are set to 1.*
          If both are 1, the machine will send you to option C or F.
          Else, you will go through option B or E.

Now there are 6 possibilities for results coming out of this machine, and I've labeled those possibilities A through F. Here they are:

A - 0, 0, no carry: leave place as 0
B - 1, 0, no carry: set place to 1
C - 1, 1, no carry: leave place as 0 and carry 1 to the next place
D - 0, 0, carry: set place to 1
E - 1, 0, carry: leave place as 0 and carry 1 to the next place
F - 1, 1, carry: set place to 1 and carry 1 to the next place

As it selects all these options as according to the values you input, it writes the sum from right to left for your viewing pleasure at the end.

*I realize now that the XOR function is kinda useless, as all I needed to do was check if either are 0 since when you reach that point there is no way both would be 0, but whatever, it's cooler. I'll fix it if I ever need to make this more compact and efficient, which is always the goal, right?.

Anyways yeah that's it. I only have a basic understanding of this kind of logic so if I made any semantic errors tell me and also I'd love feedback on how to make this a more efficient system (other than just changing XOR to OR). If I find the time and motivation I'll probably try out multiplication as well. Maybe subtraction too, and then division after that, but the only thing is I'd like to be able to include negative numbers but I don't really know how I would do that with these switches so I'd love ideas.

My end goal would be to have a proper 7 segment display at the end based on the output, but I haven't the slightest idea on how I'd do that. Maybe one day...

Help me find numbers that don't work in this machine! It is supposed to divide the number you input by 10 and output the quotient and remainder at the end. All I know is that 196-199 don't work, so there's probably a bunch more that the machine also gets wrong. Ezpz - get binary numbers
for ex: 10110101
give player 128, 32, 16, 4, 1 coins. you'll get the result in coins

Fantastic use of binary Bobithan!

thing is I'd like to be able to include negative numbers but I don't really know how I would do that with these switches so I'd love ideas.

I'll think of some ideas for ya bud.

I'm working on making a binary-to-decimal converter and I almost have step 1 for it done, I just need to test for any bugs and see if I can fix them in any way.

So far, all I know is that 196-199 aren't working. And if they don't work, there's probably a bunch more that break the machine. If anybody wants to just play around with it and find numbers that the machine gets wrong, please post them here! Thanks for your help
