Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

My favorite is the Spicy Sweet Chili.

But, for the two you listed, I choose Cool Ranch.

They are more flavorful, idk

COol ranch DoritosChip are the superior chip easily

they have the spices things on them or whatever whereas nacho cheese doritos always get cheese all over your fingers or whatever

This is interesting. Most people I know prefer Nacho Cheese.

I like Cool Ranch more though. It has a savory taste that's missing in  Nacho Cheese.

If we're talking ALL flavors, my favorite is the legendary Caribbean Citrus Jerk / Test Flavor 404 that lasted about a month, or the amazing Jacked flavor, Ranch Dipped Hot Wings.

Same, I'm glad to see many people on the forums have actual taste.

In the UK, Cool Ranch is called Cool Original. I don't know what country Doomsdaytoy is in but it might be the same. I also came across these by searching "doritos original" on google images:

Re: Cool Ranch or Nacho Cheese Doritos?

I judge these flavors relative to each other on three criteria: 1) Nutrition 2) Taste 3) Sales.

NOTE: i realise now that one of the flavors is called "nacho cheese" not "cheddar cheese" i cba to correct this. However i believe it is fair to call it cheddar cheese, since it has cheddar cheese in it. This is what i meant when you see me say that.

1) Nutrition
doritos-nacho-cheese-reduced-fat(1).jpgdoritos-cool-ranch-reduced-fat.jpg
Based on these images you can see that the most popular category for nutrition, the calorie, has been kept the same between the two. Infact they appear to be almost the same all the way until you reach the vitamins. This is where cool ranch wins out. While missing on vitamin A, it contains calcium, Vitamin E, and Vitamin B6. All of these are considered essential daily vitamins. “Vitamin B6 helps a lot of the systems in your body function,” says Dee Sandquist who is a spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association. Vitamin B6 is completely absent from the nacho cheese doritos, while it is abundant in the cool ranch. While neither of them have shown to be particularly healthy, I feel these reasons show that cool ranch is the healthy choice.

2) Taste

Ranch dressing is a type of salad dressing made of some combination of buttermilk, salt, garlic, onion, herbs (commonly chives, parsley, and dill), and spices (commonly black pepper, paprika, and ground mustard seed), mixed into a sauce based on mayonnaise or another oil emulsion. Sour cream and yogurt are sometimes used as a substitute by some home cooks or to create a lower-fat version. Ranch dressing has been the best-selling salad dressing in the United States since 1992, when it overtook Italian dressing.[1] It is also popular as a dip.

Cheddar cheese is a relatively hard, off-white (or orange if spices such as annatto are added), sometimes "sharp" (i.e., acidic)-tasting, natural cheese. Originating in the British village of Cheddar in Somerset,[1] cheeses of this style are produced beyond this region and in several countries around the world.

Cheddar is the most popular type of cheese in the UK, accounting for 51% of the country's £1.9 billion annual cheese market.[2] It is also the second-most-popular cheese in the US (behind mozzarella), with an average annual consumption of 10 lb (4.5 kg) per capita.[3] The United States produced approximately 3,000,000,000 lb (1,300,000 long tons; 1,400,000 tonnes) in 2014,[4] and the UK 258,000 long tons (262,000 tonnes) in 2008.[5]

One thing i noticed about these 2 main ingrediants that interested me is that while they are both popular in the US it would seem that only that later is popular in the UK. I did more research on this, and what i found basicly suggested that the British people do not like the added fat found in ranch dressing. As people have pointed out earlier in the thread, the doritos even have a different name in the UK. My research points to them being called "Cool American". Looking back at the nutrition from earlier, interestingly we see that the cool ranch DOES have significantly more saturated fats.

Cheddar cheese on the other hand seems to be wildly popular in the UK with a market size of 1.9 billion. The US also seems to love it. TheDailyBeast even called cheese "China's new obsession". Its clear cheddar cheese is a taste people around the world savor. One concern i had was that cheddar cheese could be a potential food allergy, but i noticed in the ingrediants on the food labels i provided that both products contain some cheddar cheese, and as such would be unsuitable for someone with such an allergy. I decided not to do any research on food allergies, because it seems irrelevant to the debate.

For the reasons i have shown cheddar cheese is clearly the superior flavor. Its tied up we'll have to check the last category.

3) Sales

...i cant actually find the sales figures seperating them by flavor. I did find that its the most popular corn chip of all time. Lets come up with another category...?

4) Personal opinion

I dont eat either of them in my life shoot... How about...

5) Ability to survive a nuclear blast

This should be good... I doubt I can come up with an actually reasonable reason one is better than the other at this... I came up with some but they arent reasonable at all.

6)

Anyone got ideas for another category or can find the sales figures? I dont want it to end like this. I believe it boils down to which one is more profitable. My intuituion says they market nacho cheese more, but i cant find anything to back that up.
