Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Not all keyboards do what you describe, but some will always do what you said - cheaper or broken keyboards can only support a certain number of simultaneous key presses.

umm, are you entirely sure about that? because i really cant imagine the keyboard electronic schema that can cause that.

Well, as I've upgraded my keyboard I've been able to press more and more keys at once - I'm at a point where I can pretty much hold them all down.

Re: left+up=jump?

This might happen because of keyboard ghosting: https://www.microsoft.com/appliedscienc … gDemo.mspx

Because of how your keyboard is wired, only a certain amount of key presses register at once. This is usually done to save on production cost.

Didn't read it, but doesn't sound like it because it works fine with WASD.

Also this is an ancient problem with EE and most veterans and "pros" have adopted WASD to complete more difficult minis.

It doesn't take you that long to get used to.

Hexagon said "only a certain amount of key presses register at once".

It works with up and right and it works with WASD.

If the article says something different then Hexagon didn't explain it right.

Re: left+up=jump?

I held up+right+jump on my arrow keys and my player went right.
But as soon as I switched to up+left+jump, guess what?

My player still went to the right direction...

Thanks!
In my vision the keyboard schema was the same indeed but it got 1 more cheap component. Perhaps I will register the patent. :3

Re: left+up=jump?

If you have such troubles use W+A+space instead

I'm known as "haslo" in EE. Also, I refuse to play EEU.
