Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Maybe old WW2 tank wreckage in my neighbourhood

Anyone able to identify this "stuff"? Its not far away on a sandy plateau of a nearby wood - maybe 20km away from here.
There might be more in the woods which cannot be seen on bing / google maps.

Hope I don't trip on a 70 years old mine ...

Well I've heard that finding landmines and bombshells older than your granny is common in Germany, but I still don't know if finding a tank ruin in your backyard is awesome or terrifying

Yeah, its "common" here to find some bombs, but not mines.
Mines are rather concentrated on certain areas and these are mostly known. Especially the former east german / german border - where a larger amount could not be recovered. These might be detonated by animals as well.

Just recently an old school was wrecked and they found a still dangerous 1000kg bomb below the school.
It was just there - for 70 years on top of a school //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/wink

I might give it a try to get to these tanks the next weeks or so.
