Koya would be a great mod in my opinion. He's modded minecraft forums so I guarantee he has plenty of experience in dealing with whining children.

I think it's clear that keeping a diverse moderator time zone collection is beneficial, so I'd look in that direction.

tfw i expected this to be a serious topic. but i'll respond seriously anyways i guess.

in order of which they occurred to me, and then me looking through a list of ppl with the most posts. i'll probably add more in the future or give some cons for a few other choices.
also these are all my personal opinions so

smittyw, buzzerbee, onjit, koya, bobyy, nlmdejonge, hexagon, ravatroll, kentiya, evilbunny?, kaslai, probably a few others i missed

i'd say the first five are my most preferred candidates. none of them have really done anything wrong except onjit and koya on occasion.
smittyw and buzzerbee are p cool. i haven't seen anything super awful come from them and i'd say they'd mesh well w/ towwl. i feel the strongest about these two.
onjit does have the weird timezone consideration despite a few warnings for spam, and he could have done some serious shenanigans when it came to him being a forum game moderator but he didn't except give himself a silly admin note. doesn't say much but i legit think he'd be ok.
koya is perhaps a bit too liberal when it comes to the forums, but idk, i doubt they'd be too awful. maybe a little ~controversial~ but shrug.
honestly, bobyy isn't super active though... but he isn't that bad.

okay so for the next six people it's only somewhat serious but i'd still think they'd be good

nlmdejonge is actually super out of the question since he quit the community a few months ago, and i doubt even if he hadn't that he'd agree to it, but he wouldn't mess up. he's a mature and responsible adult. ok as i said he left so it's still super pointless
hexagon and ravatroll were mostly for the Dank Secret Moderator meme. i don't know if they'd accept/even want to moderate, but i think hexagon would be p cool
kentiya and evilbunny also are plausible choices, probably kentiya more than evilbunny, but they both have no warnings.
kaslai kind of worries me w/ some of his views but honestly idk i think even though he'd be probably a little lax (like an antithesis to koya) he'd be good.

as for a few other people i've seen with their names thrown around:
hummerz25, ortonedge, imgood9 - i have no real opinion and really can't say either way for hummerz or imgood9. i know orton has moderation experience but he's not very active anymore and he's gotten several warnings in the past. but that was a while ago, so.
bimps, insanity - bimps and insan are just dank memers and are so far out of the question it's hilarious. this topic kind of qualifies as a funpost just because you suggested insan.

now for n1kf... he'd be a bad mod, yes, but i think he, like nlmdejonge, brings up several good points about the ee community in general and should be listened to instead of flat-out ignored.

Good yes good idea:
buzzerbee - generally pretty chill and is reasonable most of the time
koya - has experience and is known to be mature around here
hummerz5 - the most neutral person i think that's on this forum
orton if he was more active and willing but i dont think he really is

Also pretty good probably:
onjit - night shift and is also mature when he needs to be
jawapa - would probably be a bad idea just because of his reputation around here but i legitimately think he would be a good moderator. he's pretty level headed most of the time
evilbunny - he's not a scrub
imgood9 - i don't know him super well but from what i gather he's mature enough to take the job

of note for all of these people is that they're all pretty active on IRC which makes communication a lot easier, aside from buzz but i'm sure he'd be more active if he was staff

maybe we should mod all 8 of them for a team of 9 staff and have an eeforums supreme court method of moderation. i only say this half joking, we talked about this a lot in irc a couple of days ago

Edit: I forgot about skullz17! I think he'd be a fine choice as well

Also, there are a lot of people that seem pretty mature  and reasonable that I'm not mentioning here simply because I don't know them that well

I don't know if it's time for three moderators, but if by an unfortunate turn of events Zoey does get demodded, I think Koya would be a good choice as well. Maybe it's just because I'd like to see their title change from "Fabulous Member" to "Fabulous Moderator", though.

But in all seriousness, I've never seen anyone really clash with Koya so I don't see where it could go wrong. Especially since Koya is so level-headed and fairly active, I think they'd make good decisions.

I know where toxic waste is stored - it's basically distributed among all Minecraft communities.
