Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Salutations.
Someone made the MBTI topic a while back, and I remembered this lil' setup. Basically, you paste words from speeches, or whatever written text you have, and this program sniffs through word choice and spits out some personality things.
I ran my IRC messages through IBM Watson Personality Insights and got an interesting result.
That seems to match me pretty well, except for the personality quirks that I insert under the guise of anonymity in the forums. Anyone else care to post their "insight"? link again I'm curious to know of others' findings. Are they "accurate"?
edit: disclaimer: I ran the entire IRC through and got a similar result. Perhaps this is baloney?

For those curious about choosing their body of text:
Compare my above IRC pull to my Forum Posts from the past 1/2 year or so
You are a bit inconsiderate, somewhat critical and guarded.
You are unconcerned with art: you are less concerned with artistic or creative activities than most people who participated in our surveys. You are intermittent: you have a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time. And you are proud: you hold yourself in high regard, satisfied with who you are.
You are motivated to seek out experiences that provide a strong feeling of efficiency.
You consider helping others to guide a large part of what you do: you think it is important to take care of the people around you. You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done.
So apparently I'm more guarded on the forums, more helpful, and more proud.
edit:
i dont have any large collections of text to run through this
619 posts' worth of text...
edit 2: I punched in my research paper, which is probably my best bet for getting reliable sentence structure.
You are shrewd and skeptical.
You are philosophical: you are open to and intrigued by new ideas and love to explore them. You are imaginative: you have a wild imagination. And you are unstructured: you do not make a lot of time for organization in your daily life.
You are motivated to seek out experiences that provide a strong feeling of organization.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider achieving success to guide a large part of what you do: you seek out opportunities to improve yourself and demonstrate that you are a capable person.
So now I'm shrewd, skeptical, philosophical, imaginative, unstructured, and motivated.

I didn't have anything that was very long to put in it, but I think it was kind of close.

hummerz can you do the code magic and dump my posts into the magic thing pls <:
I used a bookmark to run some code on my list of posts... each page. So, I went into the forum options and set my pagination to 1000 posts per page. The limit is 150, so I got 150. Each page, I ran the JS code, pasted that into the box, then ran it.
javascript:%20$("div.quotebox").remove();%20%20var%20elems%20=%20document.querySelectorAll(".postmsg");%20%20var%20words%20=%20"";%20for(var%20i%20=0;i<elems.length;i++){%20%20%20words%20+=%20"%20"%20+%20elems[i].textContent;%20}%20%20%20var%20r%20=%20prompt("go",%20words);
thanks

^A search through the logs.
Has anyone here actually received "You love all things art"? I wonder what sort of dialogue they expect. "I think the Mona Lisa is quite perfunctory in its neoclassicism of the renaissance era when compared to [etc]"? yes I know that was nonsense
As is with most personality questions, we're probably biased towards the EE-playing type, whatever that might be. In this case, we might get a better idea as to the general EE player then, I suppose.
