you aren't the one who decides how the forum is run. diff and proc are allowed to listen to our opinions and they often do, because that's how we work as a team. i don't see why you're against that.

Wouldn't it be so much easier to acknowledge that at least 80% of the forum and IRC controversy is due directly to the fact that Zoey has powers and many people don't like what she does with them?

Wouldn't it just be easiest to strip her of said powers?

diff even agreed that the warning given to kaslai was stupid and undeserved... the guy at least has more sense than proc because proc only went back on his decision because zoey complained enough

At any rate, I wouldn't mind a poll, except for a few issues: unreliability, and the whole phenomenon where people don't go to polls unless they want to have an effect. IDK if that shows up in online polls though. I wouldn't mind getting some data.

yes, the majority might dislike her as a mod but id like to see real numbers that show how big that majority is rather than a silly "we the community" generalisation
ultimately it doesnt matter how many want her to mod and how many dont if she chooses to demod herself

yeah, bimps made both topics, but he had reasons to so it doesn't really matter a whole lot. i don't think a poll would really do much, because not everyone cares. it should be common sense at this point to want her demodded.

if we do make a legitimate poll, it should not use strawpoll as those are extremely rigged 90% of the time

See, that's actually a great buffer. Five people who advocate for a change, versus 95 people who are content with the status quo, should not override those static people and carry their motion. "Not caring" means the issue isn't prevalent, or worrisome (at least not to the extent that others care.)

Frankly, the poll is the best setup, ninja. People who truly don't care, won't vote. People who don't care but still think Zoey's doing OK, might not vote either. If anything, you'll get a "Get rid of zoey" response /because/ people who appreciate the current state don't care to vote.
