Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

It would make more sense, instead of wooting a bug (which can mean a bunch of different things) to have something that says "I have this issue too" and then have a count of users who have that issue to prioritize the bug, and that figure could be available in the thread listing for the Bug Reports subforum.

Makes sense to me. I'll see what I can do.

Hey while I'm working on this you guys figure out how the button should be relabeled because I've got nothing.

Yeah that just rolls right off the tongue

first thought: "Me too!"
This is currently what I have in there more or less.

Maybe a button that says either:
- Me too!
- I have this issue too!
- This bug affects me/I am affected
When clicking on it, it should say (in a(n) suggestive informative way, not something that's red and flashing): "Could you add some additional info on where you experienced the bug, and any steps to reproduce it?"
Bugs could be flagged by the mods/admins with "needs more info", "in progress", "new", "priority: {low, med, high}" and such.
Replace the "close" button with something like "Bug has been resolved" or "Duplicate of..." and then pick a link that it's a dup of, and it'll close with a message saying it's a dup of such and such.

You know what maybe we should just replace Bug Reports with a link to an actual issue tracker if we're going to get this deep into it lol

"me too" sounds a bit weird, why not make the button an icon and it will say "Click me if you have this bug too!" if you hover mouse over it
An interesting view. I'm fond of using the functions that exist, but currently our forum interface is like 99.9% text, no images. That .1% is the new REP buttons idek.

But we don't have "Click me if you want to woot this post!"

"Same" is shorter than Me too
EDIT: Personally I think there's not really a point, usually if you woot a post in bug reports, people are going to get the picture that you've also experienced the bug
EDIT2: But I can see where you're coming from, so I can help find something that sounds good and gets the point across

Indeed. Part of my issue with "Me too" is it's somewhat vague, I'm not sure how "Same" might be interpreted. Conciseness is a goal
Maybe something like "Same here" or "Add your report" to make it a bit more descriptive, (definition #2).

"Agreed" "Likewise" idk

"Help me!"
This is a false statement.

How about "Report similar issue", since it says "Also reported by"

For now I think that having people post "I have this problem too" is the best way to do this. It gets the topic bumped closer to the top, and would also catch the devs attentions better. I think that woots have already caused a few good topics to sink into obscurity, and I wouldn't want bugs to do the same. Given that the bug is urgent enough, more people will feel inclined to post on the topic, right?
The writer of a bug report can always end with "Woot if you've had this bug too" if they want to use this system.
I tend to woot bug reports that involve clever finds or are humorous though so there's that.

That was one idea but I thought that'd conflict with the report button. Then I remembered that we renamed "Report" to "Flag" so we should be good there.

Maybe when someone clicks on the flag button in Bug Reports it has a menu to select "Duplicate report", "Needs more info" or something.

If it's too confusing we could use "Recount similar issue" or "Relate similar issue" idk
Neither of those are the best words so if anyone has anything else please share
