Edit: Speculation from a while ago:
They were removed when BC was added.
I have a hunch that it was because Mrshoe wanted to make extra money off of BC
One month of BC costed 110 gems. What a strange price, right? There's probably a reason: oh yeah, you could only buy 105 gems.
Therefore, you had to buy 105+50 or 220 gems, instead of, say, 100+10
It was like this for all the prices iirc, but this is the one I remember most clearly.

Edit: So yes, I answered my own question, but this topic is more about the suggestion of adding the old prices back.
And it was cheaper to buy with gems and not money - but more expensive if you start with 0 gems.
