i tried playing your level but actually left because i was so bored

also on kira and lictor's world, it was bland, not even summer themed, and the minis were unoriginal and brought nothing new to the table (in which toop requested)

Good judging Toop keep up the good work! I should buy you a pair of glasses so you can get even better at judging. If you're planning to give us honorable mention you can keep it for yourself, we don't want a half-assed victory. You judge by points and not by quality which is sad. You have nothing to be a judge so you might want to retire and go back make your graphics.

Uh, isn't that how MOST ALL judging is? The quality affects the points, so they go together. Better quality towards the specified theme, more points. More points = win

I thought NLM's contest was pretty successful and he didn't judge that one

NSFW Summer Palace was the cleanest, most beautiful level and I hate it. From a perspective of a "veteran", the minis were some of the most rehashed trash I've played. Sure it may be the best of its kind but the same concept has been recycled for nearly 3 years now. And to put the icing on the turd, they made you go all the way back from the bottom and replay some of the minigames with subtle differences.

The level is merely a semblance of summer. I mean that besides using sand blocks you could have slapped on any makeup and called it a new level. Perhaps they could have used halloween blocks and called it "halloween themed". The minis are what's important and I saw no inspiration there. However, given that most entries, including some of the top 15, fall under the same critique, I believe Summer Palace deserves to be ranked 15-5th . It was a bit difficult though and the story was lackluster so that's probably why it was dropped.

EDIT INB4 H8: I see that some winners aren't even summer themed at all. Summer Palace gets my full support to be a winner but it's not campaign material imo.

@Smittyw that's exactly what I'm trying to say. Most of the top 15 aren't summer themed at all and they are still winning, meanwhile we get discarded because our level was probably "too difficult" / "autumn themed" when clearly it was not.
