Need help for project: Country vs. Scents

What scents come to mind when you think of a certain country or region?

For example, when I think of Morocco, I think of the smell of earth and spices.

This is for a project I'm planning on taking on, but I need at least ten different countries with solid and distinct scent associations.

The scents should be pleasant, thanks.

mexico: beans with rice

sweden: salmon

russia: absolutely nothing

brazil: economic failure

iceland: absolutely nothing

poland: potatoes

iraq: oh

malaysia: salted fish fried rice and sex trafficking

singapore: success

madagascar: animals

israel: all sorts of things

sealand: oil

taiwan: stinky tofu, bean curds, mango shaved ice cream, fried bread, pig intestines, everything else that is delicious

UK: that rotting smell you get when there are leaves on the ground and it rains while in warm weather.

i actually dont think of scents being associated with countries if someone were to ask me this iwould just think what scents would be associated with countries by other ppl, but i personally dont think of any scents when i think of countries

Same, unless I've actually been to the country.

I'm mostly looking for people who have actually been to the country because memories are primarily triggered through the sense of smell
