You merely need to be good at translating stuff from Youtube to EE, and also from 3D to 2D. I played the game many years ago, and it's dusting in my garage, and I can't recall an entire galaxy's layout by memory. My main resource is Youtube videos. 123 made TWO galaxies (well one he collabed with me) without ever having played the game, so yeah I wouldn't deem not playing it as an impediment.

Okay, I'll just look through it in youtube.

It's in Game Discussion because a) more attention ;3 and b) the description of level creation says "EE tutorials and a place to get feedback on your unfinished levels." This isn't either of thoses, so "Anything EE related" seems more fitting.
