Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Option to password protect your world

Kind of like how the code used to work when the only way to get edit access was to type it in the box, this would be the same, except instead of edit it's for getting in the world.

A password to enter feels much more fitting in EE than having a bot automatically do it/pming everyone who joins/having it invisible from the lobby, so only people with the link or on your friends list can join.

Even if you did the whole thing automatically with a bot, you can't stop someone from just saying the password in the global chat. Even if the bot kicks them, it won't erase it from the chat, and people who you didn't want coming in will, and if you are AFK then you couldn't even change the password, and even if you could, then you would have to tell everyone who previously had the password the new one, which would just be a huge hassle.

Of course, you could argue that you could only give the password to people who you trust won't say it in the chat, but I still think having that extra layer of security with the prompt coming up before you join the world to be worth it. Lastly, just because you can do it with a bot doesn't make it an invalid suggestion for the game.

A bot would be a bad idea for this anyways. Do it yourself and give edit to only people you trust. Sometimes even they can troll so just give edit to NOBODY

what if you want to completely prevent people from entering if they dont know the password
like if you have something topsecret area 51-like in your world
or you just dont want to bother doing it manually with every peasant that visits

Re: Option to password protect your world

Another good use of this is that perhaps you want to collaborate on a world with some others but you don't want to make a new crew just for that collaboration. For those that would like to keep the world private while still allowing the right people in, this suggestion would be very useful. It could be argued that you can already do this by making your world invisible in the lobby and only giving specific people the link, but then people can still enter from their friends list which you may not want (especially when you start getting friends of friends).

Re: Option to password protect your world

gem hunts could be another use to this (the gemcode/next clue is in the world <world ID>, try to figure out the password!)
