Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

What's the easiest/simplest/quickest way to detect a bot?
If I'm running a BAL, I don't want to start a game with a bot as one of the players. It's also nice to know who's a bot and who isn't.
One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

I've developed a method that accurately detects bots (better than Everybody Edits server does for campaigns, even...).
I've only shared it with a select few people, for obvious reasons.
I'll PM you the explanation if you're dissatisfied with public potential solutions posted here, as long you agree to withhold confidentiality.

Not sure what those obvious reasons are, but sure, I'll keep it a secret. PM me.

The obvious reasons are to hinder evasion, most people are too stupid to figure out how it works, but it's fairly simple.
I'll send a PM.

I think it would be best to keep methods private, since it lessens the chance noobs will be able to evade it.
Anyone competent enough can simply modify the client, or write their own packet editor (not as hard as you think, once you have a grasp of winsocks).

They'd go through way too much trouble to join as a bot for a simple bal...
Anyways, as you said people can always just create their own client, which makes them able to do hack-ish stuff again.
