Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Who is the "most homeworker" in your house?

Why aren't you doing more than just your room?

Also "big mother" only gives me **** results - what do you mean by that?

Makes perfect sense.

Definitely my mum but I'm always willing to lend a hand (it's about 3:1 between my mum and myself) as I have experience with everything; my older brother (who hasn't even bothered trying to move out) and my dad don't do anything and are oblivious to their surroundings and other people.
I hate mess, unclean areas and bad smells - my brother's bedroom has about a foot deep of rubbish everywhere and on his bed with a fowl smell of rotten food, I'm a little on edge if I ever have to go in; in comparison my office has nothing but a desk and some things that people are storing in here (old bedroom) under white sheets against a white wall (my bed is in the attic and it's a little grim).

Re: Who is the "most homeworker" in your house?

Interesting inquery

@Koya you sound like my siblings. I don't do much to actually have a foot's worth of "rubbish" on the floor. Clothing, yes. I should ask how often that place is cleaned tho. If you've been smelling rotten food for a while, that doesn't seem right.

Personally, I've been given directives to keep the housework to a minimum. Such as: don't let food rot in the bedroom. (ha!) I help out, but sparingly. I'm probably a 10:1 helper.

As you mention, your father doesn't do much to help clean. Same with mine, though he does pride himself on random outdoor tasks (pulling weeds, chopping wood)

rant

I keep to myself and keep the messes minimal. That's sorta something.

AnatolyEE, why do you include being social as part of "most homeworker"? I haven't made the connection between the two, so I wonder if that's something you're adding or I'm missing.

That resonates, he will do one tiny thing and be vocal about how he had done it - but in that time my mum and I would have done more important tasks.
He does have a stressful job and works 70+ hours a week, but for instance rather than putting a plate above the dishwasher (which is fine by me) he puts it in the sink with an inch of water so it goes slimy when I get around to it.

Living alone is great, you know what there is to do and someone isn't going to suddenly tell you to do something extra which hasn't been planned for - not enjoying living with others again.

I agree. I do everything my own way and if someone lived with me it would all be screwed up.

Re: Who is the "most homeworker" in your house?

If I'm not feeling lazy (a bit rare) I clean the rooms and walls, sweep the floor and every once in a while completely rearrange my bedroom for no actual reason. These are nice things to do when you're bored, better than just sinking your entire day into RPGs and such; I recommend it.

My mom usually's either away or sleeping, but then sometimes she snaps and just cleans the entire house with all kinds of products like a true Latin American mom. While my brother was here he also was always bromming everything, organizing clothes in an OCD-like way and doing all the dishes; then suddenly he went into lazy bum mode for days and, like, just left food on the floor. Medically bipolar indeed.
