Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Forums laggy with (read/unread) threads.

Sometimes all unread posts get after one minute automatically read.

Threads I have read or already answered aren't marked unread.

Well, I was looking at the forum codes, and it looks like someone has a bone to pick with you. (really, look at the code)

Besides the possibility that someone purposely coded in glitches for you, maybe you've got some cookie issues? IIRC they're based on sessions, so...

That's the default FluxBB session behavior.

That's a message that appears when you disable the April Fools options. That has nothing to do with Anatoly's issue.

shhhh. You know I know that, I know you know that, I don't know he knows that.

I feel like there's emphasis on "all unread posts are marked read"... are you saying it's default session behavior that's being incorrectly fired too soon?
Or that knowing which unread posts weren't read is unnecessary?

Usually the FluxBB default session lasts for 30 minutes before it expires.

Re: Forums laggy with (read/unread) threads.

I'm also having this issue, if I go onto a forum there aren't any unread threads but if I go to the forums overview the forum I was in says there are unread posts.

^this

the forums wait 30 minutes before updating each user's last visited time. It'll do it sooner if you hit the log out button instead of just leaving. That's all server-sided though. Before that 30 minute mark, the forums use session cookies to determine which topics you have and haven't read. It'll default to "unread", so unless he's logging out it doesn't make any sense that it'd mark things read that haven't been read.
