You completely missed my point. I'm saying that ghosts are created by people. I remember Derren Brown once did a little experiment where he got people to sit in a room, pitch black, on their own. Some of the people were religious, and some people weren't. The religious people claimed they could see something, whereas the non-religious people said they didn't see anything (of course there were likely to be some exceptions but this was the pattern that was found). This suggests that believing in something can result in you really seeing it. Also, I don't think you're right about what you said anyway. If you believed you could fly, then from your perspective you would be able to fly. We experience the world through our own eyes and no one else's, so if we truly believe something, then it's real.

I've actually found that more non religious people believe in ghosts (ghosts here being the haunting spirits of the dead) than religious people do

As a religious person I can indeed confirm that I dont believe in ghosts and think that the idea is contradictory to my beliefs

Due to the small sample size, we could question the validity of that experiment. But I don't think it mattered whether they were religious or not, what mattered was whether they believed in ghosts or not. Derren Brown probably only chose religious people who believed in ghosts, and non-religious people who didn't believe in ghosts.

Paranormal activity is something to be believed and not fact; my parents house used to be a Victorian surgery - so it's guaranteed people have died or been very sick there, my mum strongly believes in ghosts and will get emotional if you say that they don't exist (she has seen ghosts in many occasions and has seen and talked to God - but that's a story for another thread).

Things become a lot less creepy when you live somewhere apparently creepy but isn't creepy; if ghosts existed I would have thought I'd have seen them.

If ghosts are real why would they show themselves to us why would they wish to come to us if they are human souls then they most likely have more important matters(like playing ee ) And i dont think most religions have ghosts or if they have they're sorta locked up in their bodies

If you saw/heard/felt a ghost , does it prove that they are exist? Your mind can be hacked (for example drugs), so , I think they do not exist,
