Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Now, portals are great, but it is way too finicky to get all the IDs lined up, and not have any overlaps. So what if we had a little button or something beside the Id and Target that said "Next free" and if you pressed it it would set the ID to the next open one. Would smooth out portal making. I need to get used to making portals, so this would be extremely helpful.

*edit*
i dont think you use more than 100 ids in your world, so it is easy to search for them in /listportals
I usually use 500-600 ids. thats why i just add remainer where i stop
p.s. i didnt read suggestion correclty, i thought you suggested this thing:

/listportals is a thing, but that checkbox would definitely save time

I Agree it would save time. But I am already used to the portal system. @supersmarthead maybe you should try to get used to the portal system for a while then come back and tell us how you feel on it.

I use ID 0 for the not-a-target portals, then set their target ID to whatever from 1 to 998. I don't use ID 999 because of what I will explain. On those target portals, I use their respective ID and I use 999 (so that it can run smooth, as long as you don't place a portal with it's ID being 999)

I used to do something like that, but I think the awkward spasm when a portal links to itself is removed so its safe to do that.
