Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Raspberry Pi

Is Raspberry Pi capable of running a (kind of) simple REST service?
(I mostly refer to Raspberry Pi 3 B)

Thanks

Yeah, the rasperry pi is actually quite a capable machine, provided you don't want to do anything graphical or computationally expensive with it. If you just want to move data like files or API services, they work very well.

Re: Raspberry Pi

Well then I guess I will control it like a shell and cut off the KDE or whatever it uses.
Thanks again.

I'll leave this thread open for future questions.

Re: Raspberry Pi

Well I kinda sorta maybe know what they can do, but what is the most advanced thing you can do on a Raspberry Pi?

At the end of the day, it's still a full computer, so you can do anything you could do on any other computer... Just very slowly. You could even transcode video if you wanted!

I've seen them turned into phones, and power robots.

Re: Raspberry Pi

Hey guys,
I had my Raspberry Pi delivered.
I installed on it Raspbian Lite(based on Debian Jessie), LXDE(as my desktop environment), and XRDP(as my remote desktop server app).
And after I played a bit with the themes I obtain this:

Im very satisfied on the result, even if it doesn't appear this setup uses a ridiculous low processing power.
Thank you again!
