John Doe bumps into the back of Horus

J persuades the guard to let us into the city, and tell us where the important locations are.

darryl points the laser gun into horus's eyes

While the rest of the party stops when the guard calls for a halt, Horus continues walking some and collides with Darryl, bouncing back into John Doe, and finally falling to the ground. Darryl is startled by the affront, quickly turning around with his weapon drawn at Horus.

Brandon explains to the guard that you are all simply a group of friends looking to improve the crappy lives that you held back in the countryside. The guard seems unimpressed, and chuckles to himself regarding your poorly coordinated party members.

As a second effort to persuade the guard to let his party in, Brandon asks the guard if he'd like to hear a song from his bass clarinet. This time, J silently tries his hand at manipulating the guard to respond favorably to Brandon. It works, somewhat, as the guard expresses interest in hearing some music, as he's had a long day standing around for nobody.

darryl takes horus's glasses and pretends he's horus and bumps into the guard on "accident" and knocks him out

Darryl comes up with the plan to feign blindness by stealing Horus's glasses and bumping into the guard, but once Horus gets up from his tumble, Darryl realizes that this is kind of a dumb plan and stops to think.

Brandon plays silent night for the guard. The guard falls asleep on the ground, discarding his weapon. John Doe, in the meanwhile, read the guard's mind. Wow, this kid can play. What a great bass clarinet player. This is so great. I wish I could play an instrument like this. How did this kid get so good? What a display of raw talent, the guard thought to himself before curling up on the ground and falling asleep. John felt no need to relay this information to Darryl.

J tried his best to distract the second guard, but the he was unfazed, and leaves his post after seeing his coworker fall asleep on the ground.

Horus tried to gather barbed wire from the fence, but it holds fast.

J tried to pry open the fence with his mind, but has become too fatigued.

Brandon tried yelling profanities at the fence, yet the fence won't budge.

Darryl, on the other hand, turns his laser gun to its lowest setting so he can safely cut his way through the chain link fence. He cuts out a hole big enough to walk through, and John Doe does just that.

The guard from the tower shows up, and points his gun at John Doe. "Freeze!" he shouts.
