im pretty sure there's an option for this but i dont see it around.
make yourself hidden while you're online?

This can be activated by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + N

Everybody edits, but some edit more than others

^ This is a good solution if you don't want to log out, then have to log back in later when you want to be visible again.
