Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

^^ it will be like the edit box from the old tutorial world but you can place it in your world and it's only for the blocks that are acceptable in open worlds.

are acceptable in open worlds.
Or all blocks you have, but not some action blocks like portals, world portals, effects. etc
I like this idea!

Similar things have been suggested in the past. See, for example:

I have permanently left the game and forum.
EE is an entertaining game and I enjoyed playing it...
...but it's time for me to move on.

I have always been thinking about something like this.
But I don't think a bot can remove trolling outside of the box.
The best way is to detect their movement if they are inside the box, they get edit. If they are outside of the box they would be removed from edit.
But then, if people use hacked clients they can move outside the box and draw stuff.
But it shouldn't be that hard to detect if someone is adding things outside of the box. Just add them to an ignore list and clean it up.

it would be cool to make puzzles where they have to place certain blocks for something to work

Am i understanding right? You touch the block and get edit?
No. You can edit in selected (by owner) area. only there

So owner specifies area which you are able to edit?
Once you go in to the area you get free edit and you only get to edit in the box and once you leave edit will disappear..
