While staff members used to be rare, nowadays they are not that uncommon. Nice find, though, as I think NVD is one of the less common ones.

The sad thing about this forum is that people will jump on the bandwagon of sarcastic and rude posts if you dare to post anything deemed "nooby". I would recommend posting things like this here or here, where it would probably be treated better.

Where in the rules is that? If this isnt topic worthy, just report it. It hasnt gotten locked yet, so I think its fine. Also, determining if people "care" isnt always that easy—I think the best way to measure if something is worthy of a topic is to think about how people can respond. Can decent conversation be made out of it? If not, it may just go best on the "non-topic worthy" topic, or just not on the forum altogether.
