hi i thought it was kind of obvious who the person was because of the way they were a main character who wasnt clearly a good guy so it mustve been him but it makes me wonder about how it was in the manga bec manga are like periodically serialized and the way it was written it couldve maybe been not obvious also it makes me wonder how it would be poss to make it not obvious i guess you would have to include more characters who u cant really tell whether they are the bad guy or not or idk

What I expected from A1 Pictures

Tbh at first I thought the killer was the guy who worked at the TV station with Satoru's mother.

For me the anime was perfect. You can' t really say "character development was cut off" because the story didn't follow a straight line - it backtracked A LOT. Kayo had wonderful development throughout the story, and sensei had really shown his dark side on episode 10.

His motives should've been obvious. Child molester. I mean, he HAD candy lol

For me the anime was perfect.

Gotta disagree there...
The anime actually wasnt half bad for a1 pictyres. But the fact is, a1 pictures leaves nothing to the audience. They make everything explicit and make sure you "get" it even if you already know something.
I could write more but I'm low on time right now. Although it is possible that the anime was just overhyped, like OPM, and that could be one of the reasons I truly dislike it.
It still got a decent 8 for me on MAL

I dont think the point of Erased was to find out who the killer was - rather - find a strategy on how to change the future.
