Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Forum Keys

Forum keys will be given out under special circumstances (yet to decide) (if u want u can suggest an idea)

basically forum keys will give you the ability to unlock locked topics. different keys will be able to unlock different kinds of topics:

for example

mausoleum keys will be able to unlock topics in the forum graveyard

user keys will be able to unlock your own topics

specific user keys will be able to unlock topics of specific users

subforum keys will be able to unlock topics of specific subforum

each kind of key will have its own name

as of right now forum keys will be 1 use only

idk

Re: Forum Keys

I'd be fine with giving owners the ability to lock and unlock their own topics but adding all this key stuff seems like a ton of effort for like 0 return.

I would imagine there could be two kinds of locks—owner locks, and modlocks. Owner locks could be reversed by the owner.

Re: Forum Keys

I think users should be able to lock their own topics, however, a user cannot unlock a topic that has been modlocked, and a mod can't unlock a topic that's been adminlocked.

sounds good

and a mod can't unlock a topic that's been adminlocked.

and you lost me. Admins and mods should be working together, on the same page, so ideally there shouldn't ever be a need for this. If there was a need for this, I'd rather we remove the moderator since there's obviously a big problem somewhere if we're working against each other. Admins aren't bulletproof, if they make a mistake it should be able to be undone without waiting around for one of the two relatively inactive admins to come online.
