Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

paintdotnet

Paint.net sometimes takes long to launch. Can I fix it? Does anybody else have this issue?

Re: paintdotnet

Plugins? None I guess. And I downloaded 2 fonts, other ones are from Windows 7.

Re: paintdotnet

Use GIMP. It's way more complex so that you can make better drawings.

Might be windows itself getting in your way. With GIMP it would take ages to load on windows and I'd avoid opening up GIMP if I possibly could. On Linux it opens as quickly as any other program.

Depending on what you're wanting to do, Krita or GIMP might be better choices than paint.NET. Krita's pretty well geared towards drawing with a tablet, and even supports basically any tablet, not just Wacom's stuff, like this relatively cheap one, and I've heard it's more similar to Paint.NET than GIMP is. Never used Paint.NET so I can't speak from experience there. GIMP doesn't support CMYK and its interface blows, but I think in general it has more features than Krita but I'm not sure on that. If you have the money on hand, and you're not using linux, and you edit/create images enough for it to be worth it, photoshop is pretty nice I guess.

Paint.NET has layering, transparency, better tools, as well as a truckload of visual effects to play around with.

Krita has all that as well as a nice, customizable UI, is open source and cross-platform so anybody can use it, has insane amounts of hardware support, and has friendly devs who love you as much as you love them.

Which is a lot fyi.

Occasionally I get laggy but I just close out and then come back.
Is your memory full?
