Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I want to talk about the time and timezone in EE.
I think what EE lacks is a common time - timezone for all players in EE.
For example, the Spring contest: the important deadlines were only listed as dates - Build your levels from 26 of March-9 of April. Only after someone asked for the timezone, the Deadline Countdown link was added and it was the London time.
Another example, the 1st of April game update: I'm not sure what timezone was Nou using, but it wasn't even April 1st in the most parts of the world.
I suggest, the EE staff finally decides to set an "Official Time zone on EE".
This way all players would be using the same time so it won't come to more confusion anymore.
The planing of future events would be easier, and communication among players would be also easier. Simple example: when player is making a boss world, it could add a sign: [Boss open from 15.00-17.00] and everybody will know exactly when did it start, when does it end, and how much time is it left. They will also be able to quickly arrange plans for when do friends meet for building, playing etc.
This is probably not even a big deal anyway or it is unnecessary? But in general I just think staff needs to decide what timezone they will be using and stick to it and don't forget to add the countdown, timezone for future contests as well!
Just my thought, what do you think?

The update was a necessity, none of us has time to launch the update on 1St of April itself. About th contest, it should mention a timezone for the deadline. We usually work with CET, but nothing standard yet.

The correct way is to put the majority time-zone.
Everybody edits, but some edit more than others

Call it EET; EE Time.
One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

no
the ee time zone has to be the greenwich time which is UTC/GMT+0 (whichever)
it makes calculating time simpler because you just have to know your own timezone and add/subtract hours, instead of the need to know other timezones, adding/subtracting their hour offset and then subtracting/adding yours
