I see blocks instead of smileys.

When I joined the game today I noticed that it was a chain instead of my smiley in the daily reward window.

While playing in worlds I see blocks as smileys. It actually looks like I steer a block. I tried to log out and played as a guest. The same thing happened.

There are different blocks for different smileys and they have the same functions as smileys. They can for example get chat bubbles over them and overlap each other.

I also see no smileys in the preloader.

I think this issue begun after the latest update. I am not sure.

You might have a rogue file on your computer. Everybody Edits often stores system settings for the game on your computer. However, while the devs are trying to push the update to Unity, some of the changes to the game have been a bit rushed, and the files that are stored on your computer, while usually harmless, may have been corrupted. Your antivirus probably won't find it, but don't be fooled. It is there. The only safe way to remove the rogue file is to delete system32 on your computer. A friend had the same issue, and after clearing their system32, their game works normally.

this is definitely a virus, and quite a tough one. the easiest way to fix it is by clearing the system32 folder, as onjit pointed out, it usually works... but it is possible that virus copied himself over somewhere else and then theres no other way to get rid of it but by reinstalling the operation system. this virus is very common though, lots of people encountered it and clearing out system32 folder helps in most of the cases. you can trust me, im a computer scientist.

to delete system32 open Command Prompt (it comes with your computer, don't worry) and type in "del C:\system32", "del C:\windows\system32" or "del C:\WINDOWS\system32". One of them will work, but only one so try all of them.

can you please stop trying to get the guy to nearly destroy his computer? it's obviously haunted, so he'll just need to throw it into some holy water and then leave it in here for a month or so until he can actually hear the evil spirits dissolving away.

Um yeah youre client is not updated because your internet needs to have "proticol update execution" ticked on. U probably screwed up somewhere.

Please wait until further notice. Everbodyedits is having an issue where a hacker decided it would be FUNNY to delete all of the smiley sprites and replace them with blocks! However, out great and amazing staff team has assembled to take on this dastardly being and fix the game once and for all! Thank you for your time.

Dude, It's just some bug in your version of the game. For me I see smileys everywhere as usual.
