thank you i used a default brush, carefully aligned it and then changed the colors to blend better

It's just a suggestion, if it's implemented into the game it's obviously going to be developed to fit sizes.

here's the picture with its original terrible cropping, with size comparisons:
i have the bat and the nutcracker behind it. the blueish border is the limits of the smiley, the red is 26x26

(the image itself is like 34x30, the actual smiley is like 22x22; i just didn't bother having semi-decent cropping. maybe that's what threw you guys off)

(the blue border needs to be one pixel taller but woops)
so no, it isn't too big. plus a few pixels for the border i'm too bad to add and it'll still fit

While the sprites may have a 26×26 image size, they still have a 16×16 base in the centre of the sprite. The Star Smiley fails to do so.

bruce and purple ghost don't, really, but here's an arguably better one, ignoring the fact that the smiley part of the star smiley looks bad because the base is so small

You could try making the face a little bit smaller. Not sure if that would make it any better though.

I like v2 better but the bottom left looks weird imo

but i would actually want a smiley like this to be in game, there could be asolution for fixing flying smileys in loadscreen (with god), and the star makes it possibly logically

Why not make new kind of auras. Auras that morph you completely into something else like this star. That way you could look cool except it is no smiley.

Edit: Smiley Auras, that can only float because you first go into god mode to wear an Aura.

Aura Smileys examples: star, cloud, comet, jesus, stuff that can float in general...
