Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

DUE TO JAWAPA'S RECENT BANNING, I SHALL BE POSTING FOR HIM UNTIL HE IS UNBANNED. PLEASE NOTE THAT NONE OF THE OPINIONS OF JAWAPA ARE REFLECTED BY THE DEATH PARTY UNLESS SAID OTHERWISE
Greetings,
Today, I announce a change candidacy. I will no longer be running as an indepeendent, rather I will be running as a benjaminson. I have come to realization that many of my ideals, are shared with that of the benjaminson party (I will go into greater detail later). I had plans of continuing out my campaign as an indepeendent, as I knew it would spark controversy if I switched. However, I can no longer sit back and watch as ZeldaXD puts forth no effort, and still places in the general election. This Hitler 2.0 candidate is not putting an ounce of effort in, yet, he is making substantial progress to the white painted shed. We cannot allow this, Everistan. Our country is broken. We need to fix it. It will not be able to heal if we are not making people prove their worth as leaders.
JaWapa,

General Abraham Lincat Whiskers, On Trolling
Trolling is a practice as old as EE itself. It is the systematic destruction of what some consider to be 'inferior' levels. Though the practice is commonplace, it should be considered barbaric and completely unacceptable. Every player deserves to have the right to play without the fear of being trolled. That being said, it is unfortunately impossible to prevent this evil completely. That is why tools have been implemented to combat this thread, putting the necessary power into the hands of the people.
Some would argue that trolling helps, that by destroying someones inferior creation that person will be inspired to create a superior one. To this I say, poppycock! The idea of superior and inferior is based on a biased perspective. We all enjoy a vareity of levels, and why should some be considered inferior if we do not enjoy to play them? We all have the right to choose what we play, and so there is no reason to play something which we do not enjoy. Therefore there is no reason to troll something which we do not enjoy, as there is no reason for us to be playing it in the first place.
Even still, if we're struck with the desire to help others change, trolling should not be considered an effective method of doing so. When a person is trolled they rarely think, "I was trolled because my level was inferior", but more likely they think "the person who trolled me was rude and I'm never trusting them again." Basically, you are advertising yourself as an inferior player, who has now lost some degree of influence because of your behavior, and in the end nothing will have changed, because instead of taking the time to be polite you so rudely decided to troll someones level.
I also had a shocking conversation with opponent ZeldaXD:
In short, trolling is an unforgivable and reprehensible behavior. Though I do not support the banning of trolling, I am greatly against it in every way.

Primaries are going to be a bit shorter. Voting period will be this Friday and Saturday, and I'll count the votes on Sunday. I'll adjust the rest of the scheduling accordingly. Generals will be even shorter.
EDIT: check out the OP for new dates!

Look at the votes that have been cast in these most recent polls. Look at the platforms of the parties being voted for. Do you honestly feel that these parties represent you? There is only one party that you can truly say has your best interests at heart. The GrEEn Party is the only party in this race that is of the people, by the people, and for the people. We are running on a fluid platform that constantly evolves to serve your needs. We do not have an old guard to appease or big donors to return investments to. Take a moment to reread our party's platform and ask yourself one last time, who has your needs as their first priority?

The "parties" aren't all that big so I don't think there'd be much attendance and I also don't really understand caucuses.

You realize that this is a complete reversal from your opinions on the subject in the past, correct?
Same goes for Bimps! He has stated in the past is dislike for Jawapa, and now the public sees him siding with him?
BREAKING NEWS: Candidates weave webs of lies, saying anything to get elected!

Caucuses are basically just the supporters standing in the corner of their candidate, and trying to convince others/the undecided ones to come to their side. The main issue with real-life caucuses is the turnout, since it's a lot of time to go there and sit and talk to people, but when it's just a few minutes on a computer, that should be no problem.

As much as I dislike candidates lying, I don't think a change of opinion is necessarily a bad thing. Many candidates and voters alike have changed their opinions in the past and people should be allowed to evolve in light of new information. Now if a candidate lied to say they were always on a side they weren't, that would be irresponsible and deplorable.

Just from your introduction post, I see that your platform includes making users pay for name changes, not punishing staff for nepotic acts of favoritism, no support for bug fixes that improve the player experience, and what seems to be a general lack of non-answers. The people deserve a candidate who can give hard answers to hard questions, and one who shows that they don't support disenfranchisement or worsened player experiences.
Zumza's introduction post, while poorly structured, does seem to mainly claim to support the playerbase, so I can concede that. However, he believes that contest winners should receive exclusive content (presumably smileys or blocks), which seems to fly in the face of equality. He also believes that name changes should cost gems, disenfranchising users who don't wish to or aren't able to pay for them.

1. I said the first time it should be free, in case someone doesnt like their name.
2. I did not understand the question, i have no idea why i anwsered it at all.
3. I never said im against bug fixes, i just think there should be more content. Hey here's a wacky idea: Release bug fixes with the dang content.
Also you should not be telling me this. Your answers are not as perfect as you think they are.
Should staff be more seriously reprimanded for giving away free items at no personal expense?
Staff should be given allowances of free items to give away monthly or yearly, with the stipulation that they should be small gifts and have to go to different users to avoid neporism.
And you are calling me out for staff favoritism gifts? This still seems like favoritism to me.
Should more easy difficulty campaigns be introduced to the campaign roster to balance game difficulty?
Campaigns should be removed entirely.
Yes for someone dedicating to freedom you sure know how to make people happy.
Yes sure, someone trying to beat a campaign only for it to be removed. Fun.
Should world text be made available to everybody, rather than just staff?
Yes.
Should updates focus more on tweaks and fixes or new content?
Updates should fix bugs whenever possible
Woah woah woah wait. You want to fix bugs but you suggest adding something that will cause even more game problems like lag?
Nice try though.

1. I said the first time it should be free, in case someone doesnt like their name. Please be more specific.
If name changes will cost money after the first time, then name changes cost money. It's a matter of when, not if. Disenfranchisement does not stop when you make a small concession, it is only postponed.
2. I did not understand the question, i have no idea why i anwsered it at all.
Should we even be considering electing a candidate that doesn't understand all of the issues facing the players? I know that I wouldn't
3. I never said im against bug fixes, i just think there should be more content. Hey here's a wacky idea: Release bug fixes with the dang content.
If you said that, then I would have addressed that instead. The way you phrased your response made it seem as though bug fixes were unimportant to you.
Waiting to release bug fixes until new game content is ready will potentially delay critical bug fixes that affect a player's experience negatively. Should players have to wait for a smiley or block that could be weeks or months away to be able to play the game properly as it is?
Also you should not be telling me this. Your answers are not as perfect as you wrote them.

I clearly pointed out that staff should be giving out these small gifts to different users to avoid favoritism or nepotism. That's exactly what you quoted.

While campaigns may be fun to some users, I personally believe they fly in the face of the freeform experience that Everybody Edits was initially intended to be. I will concede that I hadn't considered that users would be in the middle of trying to beat campaigns if they were removed, so my platform was lacking there. I would suggest as a counterpoint that campaigns be retired at some point, with no new ones added, but players who had previously attempted them would be able to continue trying to beat them for a limited time.

I may not have made it clear, but bug fixes would take priority over making world text available to all players. It's quite obvious that I (along with most other candidates) would not endorse a feature that would cripple the game.
