Recovering account

Hello there! I've been trying to recover my account that I haven't played on for a few years, and it went well until after I managed to change my password as I then needed an activation key.
Which was supposed to be sent to my email, however I can't find anything even in junk and all that baloney and it's impossible to press the button to send a new one. As you see below, it only says "an error occured". It has been the same for weeks.
Has anyone else had that problem, and if so how did you fix it? Wanting to recover my account is simply because I felt the urge to build some worlds again, however if I can't recover my account with everything I had then I won't bother.
Since I can't seem to get an answer from the staff I thought I would ask here.

Worst case scenario: it's a different email.
Try waiting longer.

Have you tried clearing your cache?

Yeah this happened to me. I use incognito to prevent it happening, but you still need the correct email and password. Once you find out what they were, clearing cache should work.

As I wrote, since I obviously managed to change my password there is no doubt that it's the right email. So of course I have both the right email and the right password since I've already been mailed on that adress.
Also, clearing the cache won't help since I'll just end up at the activation screen every time I try to log in after clearing it.

Have you tried PMing him? Sometimes the mods take a loong time to see their e-mails.
