I think that means how much energy you would  have to spend to get the items you already bought, since that number isn't a constant on any of those people, so it only adds up the energy you spent, not the total cost of everything.

Diamond blocks cannot be bought with energy though. I would think he just spent a lot on worlds and crew junk.
