Are you sure that is correct.
Your countdown says "Time until Saturday, 26 March 2016 (New York time)"
UTC, as AnatolyEE suggested might make more sense.
Or, since TOOP didn't mention any timezone, maybe until the days end (/start) at the very last (/first) timezone.
Perhaps even the timezone of this forum.

why would UTC make more sense when it is simply another timezone?

UTC is not just another time zone. It is the primary time standard by which the world regulates clocks and time. Used in many Internet and WWW standards, and it is the standard used in aviation. Time zones around the world are expressed using positive or negative offsets from UTC. It's really the only thing that makes sense to use when picking and expressing times across time zones, like what we might need for this contest.
