Dude, it's the team's fault for allowing those people to do nothing and get gems. If someone is gonna join your team without showing any effort, then kick 'em. They don't deserve gems if they don't do squat lol

If I could give my friends a hundred gems out nowhere I would take that opportunity. Nobody is at "fault" here, because nobody loses anything.

I think we are confused. I originally responded to anch159 that if each member of the team got their own gems (say 300 gems of each in the winner team), I could potentially make gems out of nowhere and give them to people if they were in the team. I think you interpreted my post as "you could be part of a team, do no work, and get some of the gems from the people who actually worked on the level" when I meant "you could be part of the team, do no work, and get gems from nowhere with no loss from anybody".

I have to agree with nlmdejonge. All the past themes have been focused on looks rather than exploring new game mechanics. It's like if one contest allowed me to use only red blocks and this one allowed me to use only green blocks. They sure look different but the gameplay remains the same. This time Spring is only using green blocks.

The Ultimate Builders Challenge had some neat themes. My favorite was Arcade because it inspired both art and gameplay. You should check the levels from that round.

A stealth robbery theme would essentially end with everyone making the same exact level, but with different art. When you give people the concept as the theme, you're giving them barely any room to explore new ideas. When a generic theme like "spring" is given, only the art of the level is effected. Gameplay concepts can be way more interesting and different this way.

I would much rather have a ton of maps that look similar, than have a ton of maps that play the same. Gameplay is far more important than art.
