Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Levels placed in Spring Campaign
How much will this be considered while judging? I don't want to make a mistake by having a world so unique that it wouldn't fit in a campaign with the others.
Also I don't want to have to pull a winner-takes-it-all kind of gambit by giving the most generic "happy spring and trees and birds and flowers" art with simple arrow minis either, that would fit perfectly into a campaign.
I know you say that you'll look on creativity favourably, but I can't help but overthink it.

It's funny how much trouble I'm having coming up with a basic-easy level that also stands out from the competition.
I hope I don't accidentally make it medium difficulty!

Admins are regular players aswell, who will judge then?
I think it was a bad idea, too, to let casual players become staff members of a game with thousands of active players. While they do a good job with their updates, their attitudes they sometimes can get them a bit too involved with the community. Their casualness causes them to sometimes act unprofessionally, especially when they are personally involved with EEdrama. RPGMaster2000, in my opinion, struck the perfect balance with this—interacting with the community, but not getting involved with the drama. Although this is kind of off-topic so maybe I will write more about it somewhere else.
The ideal solution would be to have some volunteers that have never played the game before. Introduce it to them, and give them a variety of great and unique levels to look for examples of good levels. This way, their expectations are high so only the good levels win the competition.

^this is bait don't take it
I think these are good judges. iirc at least half of them judged before (correct me pls) and they aren't biased (They didn't pay me to say this)

I do not know much about how these judges judge, so it would be wrongly judging of me to judge their judging point of view as completely biased. I would, however, like to say that even people who believe their are judging fairly (that is, based on opinion) could have their opinion shaped (even in small ways) by what players, or the community as the whole try to tell them. While having a judge team filled with nobody but new players might not be such a good idea, I think we should have at least one so we can get that unique point of view. What if we had an actual game designer as a judge? That would be an interesting twist.

I think it'd be cool if the judges didn't know who's world they're playing. I really like the idea of getting a new player as a judge, since these worlds are aimed at new players.

The contest didn't even start yet and you're already complaining about judges, please...
What you're saying it's completely nonsense, if I was a competitor I wouldn't let my world judged by newbie who is unable to tell what is a good world and what isn't. Same for a game designer, you can be the best designer in the world but I believe judging everybodyedits worlds would be something difficult for him implying the fact he has never played the game.
Also I don't appreciate the fact you're saying we are biased, which is completely untrue, we will stand professional till the end.
Actually kira, that is indeed why it'd be good to have a new player as judge. I believe many of us who play this game a lot have somewhat the same idea of what a good world is, but a new player might have a totally different opinion.
It's not like by playing this game we learn to see which worlds are good and which are not. It's all opinions, and the ones who can only play easy worlds have a more important opinion on easy worlds imo.

I think my post was less so complaining, than it was pointing out the possibilities, as well as giving advice for how I feel. I feel like that claim is a bit of an exaggeration. Either way, regardless of whether or not it is complaining, I think it is a valid opinion that should be at least considered.

How do you "know" what a "good" level is, and what is not? The judges judge based on their opinion. You cannot have a "right" opinion. However, since I am not one of those "art is 100% subjective and quality is meaningless" people, I think quality and effort should be considered. As stated in post #158, I stated that these judge should be shown several worlds, so that their standards and expectations for the quality of contest worlds is brought high. I think you underestimate new players.
Also I don't appreciate the fact you're saying we are biased, which is completely untrue, we will stand professional till the end.
I did not say anywhere that I know for a fact you are biased. I simply said that you (as well as the other judges) have the potential to be biased. You say that this is "completely untrue", yet the possibility that you may biased certainly is true. While it is possible you will be able to judge and stay unbiased, I find it odd that you so strongly deny that bias is a possibility.

We have this discussion every time and the judging has always been fair.
Just w8 m8 it will happen again
EDIT: btw n1kf it's understood that not everyone shares the same scores when judging. That's why you have multiple judges so you can average their scores

Question:
Can the world be in a crew that only contains the people on the team?
Example:
maxi123, erudite, igipigi and me are all on one team.
But if we get a crew that only has us 4 in it.
Will it still count?
How long will it take me to get banned again?
Place your bets right here.

I'm not sure if this has already been answered but does each member get 300 gems or is it split between the whole team (if they get 1st place)?

If that were the case then you could have team members that do little/no actual work on the level so they can get free gems.
