He created his account by editing the database while the forums were still being set up and user account creation was disabled. The reason it's 1970 is because of the way the forums store dates. If you just leave it blank it defaults to "0" which stands for Jan 1 1970.

i guess thats because of diff time zones or something idk?
Odd, why would it add those several spaces at the beginning of the date?
