I heard the game is going to be a unity-like game instead of flash so here's my question: What does Unity exactly do to a game? More features?

Less laggy. Ee is very massive for flash these days. Unity can fix it

They were originally planning to release it as part of the Gold Membership update, but they failed to do so, so expect it to be in the next major update (probably in March).

No, this is when we planned to start real work on it. It definitely won't be in the next update. It will take few months. (fill time work/studies/school/life)
