Ability to clear background or blocks ONLY
Admit it, you've encountered this problem before. You want to erase the background but there's too much. You have the option to clear the world but you don't want to erase the blocks:

Your graphic ideas are kind of wonky but if it were implemented better I would support it.
Im sorry I didnt spend 30 minutes on a graphic, i have other things to do as well.
The graphic is supposed to give an idea.
