i am. at my wit's end. that's why i'm turning to a forum where the average user is probably young enough to have never seen a floppy disk.

i posted something on /r/tipofmyjoystick but i'm not getting anywhere. but only four people have replied, so.

there's this one game. that i am looking for. so help me god if you find it i'll love you forever. i am frustrated. holy crap.

listen closely because if you give me a 3D game or a 1st person game i'm going to probably have a brain aneurysm out of pure frustration. if it's more recent than 2005, i'm going to strangle you.

TL;DR:

OLD. 90'S. DOS POSSIBLY. DOSSIBLY.
ISOMETRIC. RPG. MEDIEVAL FANTASY. 3RD PERSON.
SINGLE PLAYER.
HOODED FIGURE AS MAIN CHARACTER.
LIGHT COLORS.
DEMO.

NON-TL;DR:

PC/DOS.
RPG, Adventure, Medieval fantasy. Most likely single player.

Most likely released in mid-late nineties, but possibly anywhere from early 90s to early 2000s.

It might have came with a Galaxy of Games CD or other similar 'bundle' type CDs -- it was definitely a demo. I know that for certain. possibly shareware. maybe PC gamer?

It kind of looked like Diablo 1 graphic-wise, except a lot lighter -- both visually and in mood. Isometric. (it might be a diablo clone, but i'm not entirely certain)

The playable character, at least in the demo, wore either a red or blue KKK-esque outfit. (this is probably the most identifying feature) But probably more of a hood than a pointy hat. Not sure if the colors were a gender thing. I think there was magic.
The beginning/maybe the tutorial started out in a very light-colored dungeon. Blue-white. There was a woman in the dungeons who I think was a major character.
There was something involving a necklace. I think the main character just woke up there in the dungeon or something. Maybe had something to do with amnesia.

After the dungeon was a town. With orphans and... rabbits I think? And after that was the docks, which was where the demo ended.

This might be a completely different game, but I also remember a blue mineshaft with a puzzle? I don't know.

I don't know anything about the gameplay.

most likely abandonware if "prior to early 2000s" didn't tip you off

Zoey, if you're going to be a jerk about it, nobody will want to help you find the game, even if there's a 50-gem reward. I kinda doubt you're even going to pay the winner. I mean, you should've probably expected someone to say "minecraft" right off the bat.

I can't think of any games, though. Can't help out.

the abandonware one is for mac and... idk, not entirely willing to get a mac emulator just for robot city.
this one's not mac tho but idk, i try setup and it doesn't really work for win31 or xp. probably just gotta do more troubleshooting.

ultima 8 doesn't look right, but it's a possibility. the immortal's a bit too old and seems more randomly-generated-dungeon than an actual rpg. neverwinter nights is the same kind of 3D that WC3 is.

darklands is a lil too old. also don't doublepost.
