Regarding Jawapa's demodding

Jawapa has never had a good standing with the majority of the community due to unprofessional behaviour (aka mod abuse), of which I'm very much aware. Similarly, friction between Jawapa and other team members was a common occurrence, but nothing worth booting him for.
Until now.

Jawapa has been caught selling gems on the "black market". By generating gem coupons with huge amounts of gems and selling these gems in smaller portions to people directly, he has been stealing money from the game.

Gems created by one of Jawapa's alt accounts:

A great amount of gems purchased from illegitimate gem codes, more on the other pages.

In an effort to cover his steps, he renamed several accounts, created others, and spread the gems among these accounts, hoping we wouldn't find them. Allegedly, he spread the gems also as a safety precaution in case he got kicked.

Deleting the account:

He even manually renamed accounts to the same name to make them harder to find.
As a result, Jawapa has been removed from staff, has all access disabled, and has been permanently banned from the game, effectively immediately.

Breaking trust hurts, but so does karma.

I knew JaWapa didn't exactly have the best standing with the community, but I never expected this. I personally have nothing against him, but this is rather inexcusable.

How much has been stolen in USD/CAD? And why are moderators given the rights to do this to start with?

It seems unprofessional to me why this is so "public" as when someone steals something it is usually handled privately and then the public may know about it later. In the screenshots it is Jawapa who is buying the gems, but what about the ip address? Could he have left open his account somewhere and forgot about it and someone bought all of these gems? Does someone else know his password?

NVD gave builders club to someone else for free, (i.e stealing); why isn't that treated the same? They are both stealing.

As much as I dislike JaWapa, it would be good to have concrete solid evidence that he was indeed selling the gems, which is substantially worse than just giving them away, which is still condemnable given his prior status.
However, I think it's excessive to permanently ban him from the game altogether. Also, it should have been handled privately at first, not made into a huge spectacle - which just seems like inciting hate.

Well, I'm very surprised about that, I just woke up... If it was to happen, it will happen guys. If they have proofs JaWapa abused theirs powers and gave themselves free stuff, it's because something was to be done. I just want to point here something that would be interesting for you guys: It's not because he did this that we are going to insult him if he we meet him on anothers channels or just hate him for this reason. JaWapa was just imature and I hope he learn by this mistake. JaWapa also worked very well on the website, fixing bugs and others I guess. I'm sure JaWapa feels really bad right now... I hope JaWapa gets a work and in this work he don't decepcionate everyone again. I hope you guys understand my point

Nice job catching him bro. I can't even believe that guy would preach "Follow the rules" and all that BS...this is kinda mindblowing. It's actually infuriating that he tried to permaban me for censor evading when he pulls this kind of BS. I'm probably more relieved than anyone that he's gone.

I hope you hire staff with a more appropriate age and level of intellect so we don't get anymore "Jawapas"

So, about the work Jawapa was doing on the website, will it be dis-continued? Will someone else be able to take over?

I quite liked the ability to change the website background, as well as the opacity, this came in handy while playing the game at work or other such areas...

and I don't know what else (if anything) he was working on to actually help EE, but I assume he would have kept all his work on a local computer, unless it was mandatory that other mods have access to it, I can't see him wanting to share his progress with anyone now...

If Jawapa was for something good, he was for this. Learning these things should be handled privately. *cough* I wish him the best, outside of EE.

I guess this shouldn't surprise us much because between so many staff personnel, one or two are bound to make a big error or overstep boundaries after a while and it's bound to happen again, it always does. The more the merrier is not always true.
