Is envy a bad thing?

I think envy can make people motivated to achieve something. Unless they use unfair ways, it could be a good thing.
Whats your opinions?

It's a human emotion. I don't think any emotion is necessarily bad, just rather how people interpret their experience of it.

envy can motivate you to improve but i think it would rather motivate you to do hostile things towards the person youre envious of
