Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I recently decided to watch random videos online.
One of them was called: Best story themed levels of a game.
And the first one there was just disturbing as it gets.
Its definetly horror, but the type that makes you regret watching it.
Since i dont want anyone else to get scared themselves, im not gonna mention what happened in it or what is the name of the game.
But im freaking out! Its very disturbing and i keep thinking of it.
I cant study, cant eat and im most likely gonna lose some sleep.
Does anyone have any tips to calm me down? Please :c ?

first off: keep telling yourself its not real. try to forget about it. after a few days you'll probably drift of to other things.
second off: how disturbing. what game. just curious. plus it helps to understand what made you scared.
and if all else fails. go back. desensitize yourself. watch more scary stuff till nothing seems that scary.

1. I wasted 11 minutes.
2. Is this some kind of joke because I don't get it? What's so disturbing?

can you link the video so I can watch it
Maverick: Started up on a 6, when he pulled from the clouds, and then I moved in above him.
Charlie: Well, if you were directly above him, how could you see him?
Maverick: Because I was inverted.

The human brain behaves in such a weird way that you just can't stop thinking about something by telling it to stop. That'll make it even more obsessed with that particular thing; Tobacco addicts can't just tell themselves "yo I want to stop with these goddarn cigs" so the next day they're suddenly not chain smoking anymore.
As maxi said, if your mind is that obsessive over it you just got to distract yourself with other things for a while and it'll get better.

ZeldaXD linked it. Feels like some weird acid trip or something

I actually have thought about this thoroughly... After spending hours of my life thinking about getting over an unreasonable fear, I discovered that thinking about how 'it's not real' does not help you get over the fear at all
-
A way that works for me, is that after watching something freaky that I get a little spooked by, is I make a joke or amusing thing out of it
This way, the fear and paranoia is replaced with musing and/or laughter (ex. The Grudge: Me When You Wake Me Up Too Early [coming November 2016], writing down your nightmares and calling them 'the story that my subconscious made' (add on to it, develop the character in the dream better, fix stupid parts..), think about the actual meaning of nightmares (dreams and nightmares aren't pointless, they actually help you sort out psychological problems you have that you may not have ever even considered, ect..)

Hope this helped, it may not work for everyone

This is a joke right?
I just watched it and it seems cute
The soundtrack is nice and it's just a bunch of badly done drawings of cats and faces...
I don't understand how this can even be remotely scary
If you want real fear, watch Insidious

If the topic were about how (from the original poster's perspective) scary the video was, sure, your post might add to what the topic is about. However, the topic is not about the particularly video, it is about fears in general (If it were about the video in particular, why is it that the first post refuses to give a link to the video?). From what I understand, you are posting your thoughts that "it's not scary" while ignoring the possibility that somebody might genuinely be afraid of this video. The topic is "How do i stop being afraid of something?", not "This video is really scary". Before you call me (or anybody) a "foo", please consider what you are saying before you make a "foo" out of yourself.
To be on-topic, I would try to avoid putting yourself in situations where you think about the video. Try getting off the computer for a few hours to do some other non-stressful activity.

ye but were u mirin tho?
also no, the original poster was obviously using clear cut satire to express how not scary the video was, and wanted people to share scarier things

I seriously have no idea why you thinks this is why i made this post.
First of all,i dont like scary things.
Second of all,the name of the title was best stories, but just random murdering isnt such a good story.
Third of all,the title never even showed anything that looks horror-ish.So i wasnt expecti to see something disturbing like tgat.
