^milk is like >80 % water (thx google) and what about cream o' potato soups? They're always addin' the milk

also, soup is usually served warm: I usually eat cereal cold. But apparently there's forms of hot cereal.

I tried oatmeal once before. Poured on the sugar, wasn't terrible.
well actually I couldn't finish it. Once the edge of my hunger was gone, I could not physically consume any more oatmeal.

Many definitions stress the "solid food" part and typically specifically state that it must be "meat, fish, [...]," though this issue gets more complicated when you mention things like, say, tomato soup, or something, which can literally just be a flavored tomato paste.

While a cold soup sounds like an absolutely awful idea, most of the definitions I've read simply stress the "liquid" part, and not the "hot" part. Therefore, I've got to say that cereal probably does count as a soup.

Tacos, on an unrelated note, bear no resemblance to soup, either in apparent form or similarity to the definitions/traits specified above. Thank god for that.
