honestly donald trump isn't the worst choice comparing to some of the other candidates

it's just that he's extremely outspoken and sticks to his own opinions

ben carson is worse than donald trump, i'm not sure why people aren't poking fun at him

but for those sanders supporters, bernie is increasing in polls, especially in iowa, and might just pass hillary

I thought this too, but what I've come to realize is that this is how elections usually are. It starts as an entertainment thing and then as it gets closer to elections, people sober up and discard the idiots who just said stupid things to get attention.

As for the "sea of white" comment. Yes, the majority of America is white, good observation! But that doesn't mean its ok for people to be shouting "white power" or whatever at his rallies :)

For your last "point": It was more the fact that they are saying things like "deal from strength or get crushed every time" and "c'mon boys TAKE EM' DOWN!", not the singing about freedom, that gives me the dystopian vibe. Maybe North Korean propaganda is a better example.

The swastika is more known for nazism than for whatever religious significance it had before. The KKK obviously haven't followed those ideals, I don't know if you recall lynchings or not but I do. "white rights organization" lmao what rights are they advocating for, white people have all of them already.
Reverse racism doesn't exist. Black people wouldn't have to chant black power if white people decided they didn't get any.

As far as the swastikas in anak's image, they're probably used with the idea of the negative nazi correlation connotation thingy. Y'know, heil hitler, let's add swastikas. Highly unlikely they were "peace woot" with those.

Per the video, that just looks like a rally tactic. Odd, perhaps. I'd say excessive cheering from the audience towards candidate remarks would be much more worrisome than this charade. Singing along to vague statements with the audience clapping really isn't dystopian or whatever. Do help me: am I missing the point? I see three girls who may or may not have had a longstanding affiliation with trump's campaign already... singing the vague statements. Sure, there can be implied meaning. Face value, they're saying "america can be great again" which is what any candidate would want to claim, right? Further, we aren't electing Big Brother. It's the President; sure he has marginal power, but nothing compared to (as zoey mentions) indoctrination of the children of America... and the revocation of free thought.

But strictly as white power vs black power, you can argue that WP is unnecessary because white is the majority and they have rights. But that doesn't make it morally wrong...? Here's my dim view, because I want a middle road: I've been taught that "equality is good". So, if there's BP, there should be WP. Now you'll respond with "no, because BP actually needs to right wrongs"... and I can't argue with that. I'd go for neither BP or WP as well.

I really can't rationalize it, except that the goal of establishing equality would require a period of inequality. Which confuses me.

Annnnnnnnd.... I'm taking a sociology course, so let's see if my views waver?
