Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Coming back?

So... i've been independently studying programming and working on a real world application for it. I want to bring what i learned here and make the game more enjoyable but i want to know if it is worth even trying?.... Is there enough people still playing this game where if i come back and make bots people will enjoy them and that hopefully will bring more people back? My thought proccess is to bring back old bot types and see how older players like them. I also would make bots that revolve around puzzles. I know i am talking about bots on the general form but that's because my intent is to not get feedback on my bot ideas. My intent is to see if the community is big enough where i wouldn't be wasting time coming back.

Re: Coming back?

Someone tell Floddyfosh to come back with his digbot.

Or at least give Jaba the right to recreate.

It was the best bot in the EE history!

Re: Coming back?

I doubt it will attract more players, but it seems that bot worlds are the most popular ones. Bombot, YoScroll, QuizMania......
I dont think this is a bad idea.

Re: Coming back?

If you learned great things on your travels, shooting for what has already been made has no gains.

But welcome back?

Rooms have really dropped off the active-player rate. Nowadays I find < 20 per room at max....

Re: Coming back?

No idea. I'm referring to the # of players in a room, not the room count.

Re: Coming back?

What languages of programming have you learned?
I've been learning HTML, CSS, JS, Lua, and Python, and I'm planning in expanding that to C# and perhaps Ruby, as well.

Re: Coming back?

What actually determines if you can be "pretty confident" with a language? is it the ability to recall simple modules like print... turtle.... and maybe some syntax issues?
what about those paradigm thingies people talk about? Do we have those figured out? Are they more important than languages?
What if we all knew every possible aspect of a language (every possible keyword, function, module, library, class)... could we put them together and make them actually do things right?

Alright, I've changed my wording.

Re: Coming back?

^Thanks, but I'm just curious. Does anyone actually feel comfortable with their language?
Or am I just so far on the bottom rung of the ladder that I can't tell? lel

I am confident in my ability to learn new things about my language with a certain level of ease. I am not a master in any sense, but i am confident i can make above average bots in everybody edits.

I'm just telling you, its not worth it. New updates have made bot worlds completely useless. They suck now.

Because nobody has made better bots that fit the update.
Go ahead, make something new and exciting with all the new stuff we have!
