Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: im a cow

I hope Unity and html5 come quickly

But Cow is 100% right, EE is especially laggy since the update.

Re: im a cow

I guess there's two types of lag. Lag from internet connection is reasonable. I don't like it, sure, perhaps we could improve protocols, but at the root it's a user problem.

Lag from bad programming, on the other hand, isn't so much a user issue. I'm sure it's some hidden issue they'll find. It does show, though, we have a ways to go before hitting that unity eh?

Probably not a graphics issue. Someone's giving the rendering ticker ... or whatever ... too much work to handle.

A question must be answered, though:
EE isn't really that intense. This update has created an unusually lag-ridden experience. Flash hasn't changed. Seems to me that a good deal of this lag stems from improper coding methods. Even if Unity is so much more efficient to the point we forget about the lag, is that really efficient? That'll come full circle when the bad practice results in bogging down unity. Then what, compile to .exe? //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue

Well, that, and I don't know anything about unity. maybe it is magic.

The everybodyedits.com site it's completely lagged.

Try using beta.everybodyedits.com for less lag

for the smallest amount of website-generated lag possible:

Not even that client helps with the sudden chops and spurts of framerate.

I figured as much. Maybe someone somewhere with a 16 gHz processor will revel in the discovery... the rest of us plebeians are stuck with a damaged game

I've been using the file in Adobe Flash Projector, there's a noticable improvement for me. (Otherwise, I'm on Chrome +entry level laptop)
Then again my lag doesn't sound nearly as bad as Cow's. Plenty of lag spikes tho.

Re: im a cow

You guys have bad internet connection or bad computer resources. I joined a world as guest and with my normal account and it ran properly, no lag.

You are unreasonable

Get a better internet connection for us then.

EE site is completelly lagged. How there is no lag for me when I play in beta site, or ee.exe? Seriously, stop talking like that

Internet speed doesn't cause stuttering, freezing, and low framerates. The game uses far more resources than it should. It's a 2D game with 0 intense effects. It should be running at 60FPS on the most ancient of computers, but it's not. The game has issues, just because your computer can power through those issues doesn't mean those issues aren't there and aren't affecting people.

That said, I haven't noticed any lagging and stuttering because like HG my computer can power through them.

Sorry, but further research into this issue shows that some users can resolve the problem by refreshing the page. That suggests that the issue culminates over time inside the flash object. Perhaps resources aren't properly disposed of in a timely manner.

Therefore, because you just "joined a world as a guest" you haven't properly tested for this glitch. (Unless there's more than one problem. Then we're really in for a humdinger!)

Re: im a cow

I got a new laptop for Christmas and EE isn't lagging at all for me and I have very poor internet; so it's probably not because of your internet.

Re: im a cow

Before this update, I wasn't lagging on the .exe file, now I am. Also, on my other computer I don't lag while playing on everybodyedits.com before the update, now I have a bit of lag.
