Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Sexuality

I don't see why other peoples'  gender and sexual orientation should matter to me if/until I'm going to have sex with them. Up until that point, I don't see why people get so worked up about it.

I love lesbian girls, they are beautful and cool. I always wanted to have a friendsship with someone, and I got one, but I'm not going to say her name.

Gays are sensitive with everything, cry for every reasons, every moment. They are able to make you happy as feasible in the worst hours in your life. They are pretty good for giving advices, but never follow them.

Well, that's my opinion.

What's with this post? It reads like a horoscope.

I think an important thing to understand is that the world as a whole doesn't care at all what you (the general 'you') think personally. Let's get that out of the way.

Jawapa you're such a tool. Don't try to pass the hot seat to me by calling me a bigot, when you're the one playing with fire by supporting a proud racist. You can say all you want that you don't support everything he does, but by voting for him (or uh...whatever you're doing since i don't think you can vote) you're tacitly agreeing with his views.

I disagree with LGBT because I personally think it's exaggerated for some reason. I am straight by the way.

So my opinion on

"shouldn't be allowed to [...]" funny.
You can't dismiss the entire argument by taking a stance on the argument. What?

I can understand the need for equality. But please stop there. Yes, we can all be considered equal in the law, probably not in peoples' minds, but publicly sure. But just because they've been through hell doesn't mean they're entitled to social benefits. A line has to be drawn and I'd just as soon draw it for equality, which is what everyone claims they want, then it's taken too far.

Re: Sexuality

I sense a circle-jerk, so if I may let's change the topic slightly. Is sexuality determined by genes, environmental factors, choice, or a combination of these?

Let me start by saying I'm gay and I still don't know the answer to this question. It would be super convenient if sexuality were genetic, but there is little evidence to back it up. I think it's because the answer is both genes and environment.

It's absurd to think anyone would choose their sexuality, so I eliminated that a while ago. I was raised by intensely Christian parents in Memphis, Tennessee. No sane human being would choose to be gay in that environment. And if I could choose to be straight, I would've done that a while ago. Choice has little influence if any.

I think sexuality has a lot to do with personality, specifically, the ego. We're all looking for someone who we not only get along with, but also thrive with. For some people, that means finding someone different yet compatible. For others, that means finding someone similar to you. I believe homosexuality may be a reflection of intense egotism: the search for someone as similar to yourself as possible. And what is ego, but the way you are raised, permitted by genetics?

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Re: Sexuality

I was obviously gay (privately) like before the age of ten but I think before I started defining myself as that would be like 12 maybe 13+

And Tako, I can't see myself why it would be genetic because well what is the gay gene exactly. Also, considering there's a lot more sexualities than just gay and straight.
I think environmental causes is definitely one, because I know that many people can undergo changes to their sexuality due to say a traumatic experience.

i was only asking because I've heard plenty of people say they always knew.

but what does that mean exactly. i felt nothing toward males or females up until early high school. and now i'm just a really pervy bisexual...

Sorry I didn't elaborate I get how that can be a bit confusing

When I say obviously gay, I mean to myself. Like when I look back on myself I don't see how I didn't define myself earlier than I did. I guess I kind of realised but I didn't realise at the same time
Environmental causes = what happens in the world around you, not how you're born, so like a tattoo would be an environmental characteristic because you're not born with them. So, say someone is abused, it could cause them to be asexual/stop feeling sexual attraction to specific gender, or it could go the other way around.

Probably 11. I have earlier memories (as far back as 8)  but they are so distant I can't precisely call them "moments of gayness". I didn't even know what sexuality was back then. I didn't use a label until a few years later, when I started high school (15), and I didn't tell anyone until junior year (17).

I wouldn't say "I always knew" because for a while I dated girls of my age and I genuinely liked them, just not in a sexual way. Looking back, it was quite obvious from an early age, but I didn't know myself until much later.

Anak wrote:

It's not so much a singular gene as it is a personality type that allows you to be gay. Personalities are formed by genes as much as they are by the way you are raised, through hormones and

This study kind of demonstrates what I mean. While my personality is in the bottom half (no. 9 out of 16), I can easily see the accuracy in this claim. Most gays are...

> (E)xtroverted (5/8) as opposed to (I)ntroverted (3/8), and

> (S)ensing v. I(N)tuition (4/8 ea.).

It's no coincidence that ESFJ is the most common female personality type. But that's a discussion for a later time.

Feeling is the most evident factor, so let's define what that means.

16Personalities.com wrote:

Feeling individuals are sensitive and emotionally expressive. They are more empathic and less competitive than Thinking types, and focus on social harmony and cooperation.

Graphic representation

Does that not perfectly represent most gay people you know? Emotionally expressive? Focused on social affairs?

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Re: Sexuality

I've heard theories about homosexuality, including one having to do with a child being born with the brain passed on from the opposite-gender parent (son gets his brain from straight mom; daughter gets her brain from straight dad) which triggers a higher likely chance of homosexuality. Genetic side effects from having an opposite-gender brain include having most of your body parts (non-sexual; nose, mouth, ears, face structure, etc) come from your straight opposite-gender parent. Though, this is not always the case.

Many homosexuals have the faces of their opposite-gender parent, which is why some homosexual males look "feminine", or some homosexual females look "masculine".

It's all in the brain - how your brain thinks and what your brain thinks is right. It IS possible to change your sexuality interchangeably, including mind tricks and such (although it takes a long time for your brain to adjust). Forgot the article, but it was pretty interesting.

I didn't say all of them have opposite-gender faces!

Of course, hormones will shape faces that deviate away from their faces that come from their opposite-gender parent.

Not all people who have faces coming from opposite-gender parents are homosexual.

Re: Sexuality

You said many, which still isn't right
If anything, the masculinity and femininity of someone's appearance is subjective anyways
As well as that, the "opposite brain" theory doesn't quite make sense to me. a: doesn't explain a whole bunch of other sexualities (having 2 brains, 0 brains? non-binary brains?) (that'll always be something to be explained though) b: Inheriting someone's brain would imply inheriting everything else inside it, and your personality would be environmental rather than genetic assumably. Unless you mean inheriting specific traits, but I'm still not sure about that.
I suppose it depends on whether there's a "gay" gene or "attracted to _____" gene
Changing your sexuality just makes me think of "praying the gay away" so I have no idea where you're going there lol
