9.8m/s is correct for velocity,
9.8m/s/s for acceleration.

Pretty sure it's 9.3 or 9.8 m/s.

Yeah, 9.81. Only reason I know that is because I see it all the time in blender when I try to run a physics simulation with no/low gravity because I always forget to disable or weaken gravity.
