will wwIII happen within the projectible future?

it baffles me that people think that it will. the only major war happening is against the middle east. if a new major war starts, it wont be against the powers of the world. no wwIII will happen so everyone calm your titorials.

Strictly speaking, I think it'll happen when we aren't looking for it.
1. The U.S. is hunting down nuclear weapons in odd places; sometimes we're right, sometimes we're not (?). Provided the US's actions are complete and effective, the threat won't be from those areas.
2. The Mutually Assured Destruction makes a good point in WWIII. If we did blow countries up in some odd war, it'd be likely on accident; no one wins in that one.

Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ukraine, Sudan, Israel, Somalia, Yemen, India, Uganda, Libya, Egypt, United States, France, Russia, Mexico, and the majority of Africa are all at war.

Oh now we're going that route. We have to sit down and define WWIII. What's your views?

Are all those countries bidding against each other?

IIRC, WWI and WWII had extensive alliances. I figure "WW" doesn't require alliances, but still. If you're going to call this state of war and such as WWIII, when did this "war" begin? We have been able to list random unrelated conflicts from around the globe for quite some time. I really don't see where you throw the starting line.

Also, aren't we in an era of the least amount of war-related bloodshed? I saw a video explaining the numbers of deaths in WWI compared to WWII and outside of the wars, etc. Idk what they cited, but they claimed a gradual decrease of death since WWII. If I'm really far off, do tell.
