Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

So a few days ago my math teacher told us: "You will most likely not use any of this in real life situations. But you should expect them on tests!"
That got to me and I wondered if that was what really school prepared you for... in school tests...
What do you think of school?

School can be extremely useful. But for the most part, a lot of it is useless and for leisure use (World History).
if you don't go to it then you're gonna have a lot of fun at mcdonalds.

the social aspect sucked, so did people teaching to meet standards and state tests as opposed to teaching what was IMPORTANT

Yeah in some parts its extremely useful, but after a while, I think, you should be able to learn on your own the things that YOU yourself want to learn.

Notledge. Got 9 mark on Proceedings Lesson
I've never liked history, but I've had good notes on it. What I like most is Math and Physics, and I'm going to study Programming for the university.

Is school necessary? Let's start with why schools came about here. Educating folk to make smart decisions in the government. No sense having millions of voters go to the polls if all they know is farming or machine-ing. At a certain point, you might see math extending beyond the realistic uses. Depending on your post-secondary education, that knowledge may be beneficial. If not, shoot.
Let's see... cores. Reading helps you to... read. If you can read, there is no limit to the knowledge you can gain... or decide to ignore. If you don't understand it in the first place, you're pretty much stuck.
Science: some basic parts of each sciences can help you, I imagine. physics: levels and pulleys, make your life easier. chemistry: don't mix water and a giant block of salt unless you're ready to die be unhappy.
World History: As mentioned, don't repeat the errors. The chance of you being influential enough to make a WWII-esque decision are slim. ESPECIALLY if you don't know any world history. Honestly, you'll never get to make any hefty decisions at all if you haven't studied to see where those decisions have had negative vs. positive influences. (So, you won't be the president making budget ploys if you don't know the detrimental effects of side-supply economics, etc)

Sometimes you'll learn for curiousity and knowledge, and maybe one day you'll need this.
This is a false statement.

one of my old teachers said something to my class along the lines of
You don't go to history class because you need to learn history. you go because you don't want to make the same mistakes they did.
You don't go to math class because we expect you to know how to do super advanced stuff. you go to learn problem solving.

I hate school. We don't learn, we just remember stuff for exams and forget it all later. There's too much pressure, and too many awful people there.
Some people want to be statisticians, musicians, proofreaders, builders... You end up forgetting all the irrelevant subjects anyways. They want to you pass all your exams and have as many GCSEs and majors and qualifications as possible, then when you start working they only look for the ones relevant to the job.
They expect you to go to school, study, eat, sleep, have friends, have a life, and you can't do all of that in a day.
We need education but the system we have now just isn't doing well enough.
school teaches you to be interactive
it teaches your mind to think analytically
2 things which are necessary for you to be successful
Maverick: Started up on a 6, when he pulled from the clouds, and then I moved in above him.
Charlie: Well, if you were directly above him, how could you see him?
Maverick: Because I was inverted.
